Who We Are

We learn from change
and leverage it as an opportunity.
As a technical group,

we constantly seek better ways to utilize cutting-edge technology and our individual abilities, sharing our insights within
a collaborative team.

VISION

Changing the world through the liberation of technology.

Liberation of technology

We aim to change the world through our corporate philosophy, “Liberation of Technology,” by bringing our unique and cutting-edge technologies to a wide range of customers.

We strongly believe in the immense potential of IT and are inspired by the astonishing speed at which it has transformed and continues to change the world.

We also recognize that great technologies sometimes emerge in forms that are difficult for people to access.
To fully harness the power of IT, someone has to bridge
the gap between the ideal and the reality.

We are committed to bridging the technology gap, allowing us to continuously provide new value to our clients and contribute to global progress.

Artist Collaboration Project

In collaboration with various artists,
we are experimenting with creating
an “experiential corporate vision” that engages multiple senses.

VALUE

To remain early adopters, we eat
unripe fruits.

Make mistakes early

To realize the “Liberation of Technology,” we actively consume the immature fruits of new technology.

Through repeated failures, we will identify which “fruits” have the potential to benefit our customers and make our solutions widely available.

Origin of HENNGE

A company that transforms the world by continuously evolving in an era of change.

The Japanese word for change (HENGE) carries supernatural connotations, in which people, animals, or deities transform their outward appearance or true nature and manifest in another. It also represents the act of changing forms in various ways. In today’s era of transformative shift, we want to embrace and enjoy these changes without fear, leveraging constantly evolving technology as a tool for those who challenge all forms of transformation (HENNKA). As a Japan-born IT company, our goal is to inspire excitement worldwide. We named ourselves “HENNGE” to symbolize this vision. “HENNGE” embodies the meanings of change (HENGE), transformation (HENNKA), and challenge.

Origin of the Logo

The logo combines the “H” from HENNGE’s initial with the imagery of the Big Bang expansion representing the creation of change. It features four circles arranged in a row, with one circle overlaid at the center, positioning the logo at the core. This design reflects our determination and desire to expand from the center of the circle (Japan), reach the continents of the world, and foster meaningful connections with others (symbolized by the circle).

SERVICE

HENNGE continues to support our customers’ utilization of SaaS solutions and remains committed to the liberation of technology.

Business Investment

We invest in B2B startups and similar ventures that have synergistic potential with our group’s business operations and possess unique elements and technologies.

CULTURE

Introduction of the Latest Technology

We proudly call ourselves a “technology-loving group” and have introduced numerous SaaS solutions to improve operational efficiency. We are also actively experimenting with cutting-edge tools, such as creating financial presentation videos featuring avatars of our president and vice presidents.

Company-Wide English Language Policy

In 2016, we changed our official internal language to English, with the goal of becoming a world-class IT company. Presently, around 20 percent of our members are from outside Japan, fostering a truly global work environment.

Dedicated Learning

Many of our members are “learnaholics” (people who love to learn), and employees voluntarily initiate various study sessions covering different topics. We also provide extensive support for English learning and certification, and the average TOEIC score within the company has increased by about 300 points since 2014.

Bottom-Up Culture

We emphasize a bottom-up culture, where promotions are based on self-assessment and nomination process. Additionally, we have a “reverse assignment” system, allowing new graduates to apply for their preferred department. Since 2018, we have been hosting the “Inspire Matsuri,” a new business pitch event open to all employees.

Diverse Work Styles

To promote autonomous workstyles, we prioritize initiatives such as the free address system. At the same time, we are dedicated to creating a hybrid work environment that emphasizes in-office collaboration and encourages employees to work onsite. This helps create a balance between flexibility and effective team interaction.

Diverse Communication

We regularly hold “Coffee Time,” where members voluntarily bring coffee to share during breaks, and “Communication Lunches,” where catering is provided to encourage cross-departmental interaction. We also celebrate events such as Tanabata, Halloween, and Chinese New Year.

Monthly Technical Session (MTS)

Organized once a month, MTS is a study session where various members, primarily engineers from the development team, gather to present and discuss technical topics they are interested in. They exchange information on topics such as the latest technologies, experiences from participating in projects, and qualifications they are studying for. The 100th session was held in 2022. (You can view the reports from each session here.)

Free Dr. Pepper System

Based on President Ogura’s personal observation that “many excellent engineers like Dr. Pepper,” the company has installed the world’s only Dr. Pepper-themed vending machine in the office, providing employees complimentary, unlimited access.
