As one of the core components of HENNGE One, Identity Edition provides access control and management to support safe working practices and enhance organizational efficiency.

Learn how HENNGE One Identity Edition can elevate your company’s security game and defend your digital assets against ever-changing threats and vulnerabilities.

Companies wanting to scale up their business can benefit from cloud computing, which allows them to access and store data remotely off-site. Unlike on-premise solutions that require software installed on company hardware or local servers, cloud-based control systems enable users to manage access controls from any location using any connected device.

However, cloud computing also comes with risks, such as the challenge of managing identities and preventing unauthorized access to data. This may happen when someone within or outside the organization gains entry to systems or networks without permission from the system owner or administrator, resulting in potential data breaches.
As cloud services continue to shape the future of business operations, companies should consider practical ways to manage their digital identities while ensuring security, efficiency, and ease of use. A cloud security service like HENNGE One can help safeguard sensitive data,  infrastructure, and cloud applications from security threats, human errors, and both internal and external cybersecurity risks. The HENNGE One Suite comes in three editions: Identity Edition, Data Loss Prevention Edition, and Cybersecurity Edition.

As a market leader in Identity and Access Management solutions, HENNGE One Identity Edition offers secure access and single sign-on to multiple cloud services, web services, and web-based applications. This edition includes ID and password integration and provides access control through multi-factor authentication (MFA) to guard against data breaches. Recognized for its intuitive user interface and seamless integration of security features, the product received the Good Design Award in 2021.

HENNGE One Identity Edition has two core features: HENNGE Access Control and HENNGE Connect.

Data access control is considered a primary first line of defense against cyber threats and a critical component of a security framework. By implementing robust access control, organizations can ensure that only authorized personnel are permitted to view or alter mission-critical data. Without these measures, enterprises expose themselves to the risk of data leaks and breaches. Unauthorized access to sensitive or confidential information can lead to legal liabilities, financial losses, operational disruptions, and significant damage to the organization’s reputation.

One of the key features of HENNGE Access Control is multi-factor authentication. In addition to ID and password authentication—where even the most complex passwords are vulnerable to being leaked or compromised in a data breach—MFA adds an extra layer of security against hacking attacks and phishing scams by requiring users to provide multiple forms of verification. HENNGE Access Control supports over 370 SaaS applications*, including groupware, communication tools, workflow management, and human resource systems.

HENNGE Access Control provides users with a single sign-on solution so they don’t have to juggle multiple passwords. This not only makes things smoother for users but also allows administrators to swiftly block any suspicious activity, which enhances overall cybersecurity measures,

As an ID management feature of HENNGE One, HENNGE Access Control offers security and convenience when using cloud services by simplifying access management. HENNGE Access Control enables user information created within the system to seamlessly synchronize with integrated cloud services, streamlining the entire identity lifecycle management process to boost productivity and improve organizational security.

HENNGE Connect is a VPN-free solution that enables users to securely access on-premise systems remotely—such as in-house portals and groupware, which are web-based business systems. Companies often use a Virtual Private Network (VPN) to create a single shared network between multiple office locations and allow remote workers to access company servers safely. While VPNs can conceal users’ IP addresses and prevent third parties from tracking online activities, using VPNs alone cannot protect against malware. Also, VPN servers may be compromised due to security flaws within their infrastructure.

“Unlike VPNs, which require inbound access, HENNGE Connect only needs outbound HTTPS access, which minimizes the security risks associated with inbound connections,”

HENNGE Connect elevates the security level when accessing on-premise systems by issuing a public URL for each web service. This public URL can be accessed using HENNGE Access Control with multi-factor authentication. HENNGE Connect also addresses security threats targeting the vulnerabilities of VPN solutions.

HENNGE Connect can be implemented easily without making major changes to the existing on-premise software environment and does not require additional software installation on the client’s device. Moreover, users can access the system through a unified portal, whether they are using on-premise or cloud services, eliminating the need to adjust connection settings for each service.
