PPAP, which has long been used as a common practice for sending files, has become a major security risk for companies. PPAP is a method for avoiding misdirection and eavesdropping of files via email, and is a shortened procedure for sending a ZIP-encrypted file with a password via email, followed by another email with the password. PPAP is a shortened version of the procedure of sending a ZIP-encrypted file with a password via email and then sending the password in another email.
PPAP has already been shown to have the following problems: (1) it is not effective as a countermeasure against file eavesdropping and accidental transmission, (2) the recipient of the encrypted file is at risk, and (3) it is time-consuming for both the sender and the recipient. (3) It is time-consuming for both the sender and the receiver.
What companies need to consider is to prepare a mechanism to deliver files securely to the recipient while preventing accidental transmission and eavesdropping. In this seminar, we will introduce the latest security trends in file transmission and services for secure file delivery for companies aiming to “break PPAP”.
