HENNGE Creates the “Information System Sugoroku Game”, Representing Typical Challenges at Companies’ Information System Departments 〜Try it on October 20〜 2022.10.07

The game represents typical challenges which people working at the information system departments of companies encounter and HENNGE will present the game and urge people to try it at the HENNGE business conference, "HENNGE NOW!", held on October 20, Thursday, in Tokyo.

■About the Information System Sugoroku
“Information System Sugoroku” is a Sugoroku board game for four players, utilizing a dice. Players are “the new employees who were assigned to work for the information system department of a company” in the game, and they must deal with various events and problems. A player who successfully had the least-troubled month (with the highest power reserved) will win.
For example, players will encounter problems, such as “received a message first thing in the morning that one of the employees lost its company cell phone” or “a laptop which is indispensable for work will not be available for the next three months because of a tight supply of semiconductor devices”, and players must cope with them, cooperating with each other when necessary, to complete the game. By this game, players can relive the experience as an information system staff, as well as they can appreciate the horizontal network and the community they belong among the players, thus the game will be one of the conversation pieces as the information system staff socialize and help employees of other departments understand the work of those of the information system departments.
People can try playing the game at the business conference, "HENNGE NOW!" as well as at the chameleon events, which are HENNGE-hosted user community events. At this point, there is no plan that the game will be commercially available as a board game to the public.

■How this game was developed
HENNGE has been hosting the "chameleon" user community and the community remains active even during the Covid-19 pandemic. On the other hand, when the pandemic is over, HENNGE would like to encourage direct face-to-face communication offline.
The Information System Sugoroku was created with the idea that it would be a conversation piece when users socialize offline and share common topics, such as typical challenges and their daily routines as the information system department staff. Based on the real voices from the users, the creators collected information on typical issues and case stories and completed the game after 8 months of development work.

■About HENNGE NOW!
“HENNGE NOW!” is an event where attendants actively participate to share and jointly resolve issues which are common to companies’ information system departments. In 2022, the theme is “Accelerate SaaS with +1 (Plus One)” and the conference will be held on-site for the first time in the past three years.
The conference will provide multiple triggers for attendants to become jointly creative and to evolve themselves during the face-to-face on-site event. HENNGE looks forward to your participation!
