HENNGE One Supports Integration with Cybozu’s Groupware “Garoon” (package version) - Enabling Secure Access to On-premise Systems 2023.02.22

HENNGE K.K. (headquarters: Shibuya, Tokyo, Representative Director, Chief Executive Officer: Kazuhiro Ogura, “HENNGE”) is pleased to announce that HENNGE Connect, a feature of the SaaS authentication infrastructure (IDaaS) “HENNGE One” which enables secure access to internal on-premise systems from outside the company, is now compatible with the groupware “Garoon” provided by Cybozu, Inc.

In recent years, the introduction of remote work and hybrid work has been widespread among companies, leading to more flexible work styles and improved productivity. On the other hand, the increase in targeted attacks using malware (malicious programs), such as ransomware (ransom-demand virus), has made it necessary for companies to further strengthen their security measures.

Ransomware attacks often take advantage of the vulnerabilities in old VPN devices. According to a report by the National Police Agency also, 68% of infections involve “infiltration through VPN devices”. Under these circumstances, there is a growing need for a secure access method to the internal LAN environment that could replace companies’ current VPN. (*1)

By linking HENNGE Connect and Garoon, companies using HENNGE One could access Garoon on their corporate LAN without a VPN connection simply by logging into HENNGE One. Thus, users can now utilize Garoon safely and securely.

This collaboration was made possible based on mutual verification, through Cybozu’s affiliation with the “HENNGE One Product Alliance Program”, operated by HENNGE, and HENNGE’s participation in the “CYBOZU Partner Network”, operated by Cybozu.

HENNGE will continue to increase the number of solutions that can be linked with “HENNGE Connect” and support the productivity improvement of companies using ICT.

Cybozu sincerely welcomes the collaboration between our groupware “Garoon” and “HENNGE One” solution from HENNGE, to provide secure access to on-premise environments.
