The “DX Report” published by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry in 2018 emphasized the importance and sense of urgency for Japanese companies to overcome the challenges of their existing IT systems and engage in DX, under the key phrase “the cliff of 2025”.
However, even today, companies’ DX is still ‘polarized’; what is important for DX is to build the right IT infrastructure for your company and to transform your business structure. We must also look at the fact that security risks are also increasing as DX moves forward. The key is to review and determine the direction of IT infrastructure construction and security systems.
This event invites Professor Shuichiro Yamamoto, who is also a member of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry’s “Study Group for Digital Transformation” and a flag-bearer of the DX Report 1 & 2, to discuss the “current status and challenges for Japanese companies,” “successes and failures,” and “examples of successes and failures, He will talk about “Current Situation and Challenges for Japanese Companies,” “Successes and Failures,” and more. In the latter half of the session, we will discuss with participants hints on how to survive and compete in the future.
We hope that all IT leaders who will lead Japanese companies in the future will participate in this event, and that it will provide an opportunity to sort out issues for the looming “2025 cliff” and move forward toward DX success.
