HENNGE Releases the One-click Unsubscribe Feature for Customers Mail Cloud2024.05.10
HENNGE K.K. (headquarters: Shibuya, Tokyo, Representative Director, Chief Executive Officer: Kazuhiro Ogura) is pleased to announce that its cloud-based email delivery service, "Customers Mail Cloud," which eliminates the need for server management and ensures a high delivery rate, release a new feature on May 10, 2024: the unsubscribe feature supporting one-click unsubscription.
Google announced the Gmail Email Senders Guidelines update in 2023 and added a new requirement for marketing and promotional messages to comply with one-click unsubscription.
The one-click unsubscription does not refer to placing an unsubscribe link within the body of the email but to including a List-Unsubscribe header in the email header as defined in RFC8058. The guidelines indicate that notification emails, like transactional messages, are excluded from this requirement.
The five major features newly implemented in Customers Mail Cloud are:
1. a feature to add a List-Unsubscribe header defined in the RFC,
2. a feature to keep a list of email recipients who have clicked on the unsubscribe link,
3. a feature to stop sending email to unsubscribed addresses,
4. API to retrieve a list of email recipients who clicked on an unsubscribe link, from an external system, and
5. API to process the removal of an address from the unsubscribe list for resubscription, from an external system.
Customers Mail Cloud allows users to avoid complicated measures to comply with RFC and ensures proper implementation of List-Unsubscribe, leading to significant success in email marketing.
HENNGE, as a leading company in cloud services, will continue to support the proper management and operation of information and provide satisfactory services assuring users' security.
