The revised Privacy Policy applies to the overall handling of personal information by the company, including the personal information of customers using the company’s services.

Purpose of Revision
With the expansion of our business overseas, we are establishing a system to comply with foreign laws and regulations concerning personal data protection, such as the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in addition to Japan’s Act on the Protection of Personal Information. Consequently, we revised our Privacy Policy, primarily to address the GDPR.
This revision clarifies the procedures and matters to be publicly announced as stipulated in the GDPR, and concurrently stipulates matters provided for in Japan’s personal data protection laws and regulations. There are no material changes to the scope of personal information acquired from customers or the purposes of its use. Furthermore, there is no change in our commitment to complying with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information, related laws and regulations, and various guidelines.
Key Changes
- Limit the Policy provisions to cases where HENNGE handles personal data as a data controller and move the policy for acting as a processor to the Service Agreements.
- Specify the purposes of use of personal data in greater detail.
- Delete related provisions due to the cessation of the joint use of personal data with subsidiaries.
- Stipulate that HENNGE will take appropriate measures per the “Applicable Laws,” recognizing that the company’s obligations and the data subject’s rights may vary depending on the governing law applicable to the data subject.
