HENNGE One’s cloud security supports cloud email operations with governance

  • Manufacturing

HENNGE supports our cloud e-mail environment, which is available non-stop, 24 hours a day, around the world.

— What is the background and purpose of the introduction?

In order to strengthen IT governance as a group, we planned to unify our communication systems as one of our IT strategies, and we decided to move our e-mail system to the cloud.

The old mail server had been in place for a number of years, so when it came to replacing the mail system, we had to install new hardware and OS. Considering the time and cost required to install a new mail system and then operate it, the burden of installing and operating the cloud service was light, and cost savings could be expected as a result of the trial calculations.

Not only do we no longer have to think about patching, version upgrades, etc., but we feel that the biggest advantage for those who operate the system is that there are almost no problems. Even if it is only for a short period of time, if e-mail is out of service, it affects our business, and we have to rush to solve the problem. We are now free from this pressure.

— Please tell us how HENNGE One was introduced.

Our objectives were to thoroughly implement measures against misdirected e-mails and to archive and store e-mails as a group-wide trail for governance purposes. From our point of view, the standard cloud service alone was weak in its anti-misclassification function, and the archiving function that the company offered as an option did not seem easy to use. When we were looking for a better service, we came across HENNGE One.

— Why did you choose HENNGE One?

We selected HENNGE One for the following reasons

⚫︎ Fast and easy retrieval of emails in Japanese from the archive.
⚫︎ Large-capacity e-mail archiving at low cost.
⚫︎ The anti-mistake and archiving functions are integrated into one service, which provides a high cost advantage and a centralized support contact.
⚫︎ Since it is a cloud service, there is no need to expand or add systems even if the number of offices and users using the service increases.
⚫︎ The service is operated on a highly reliable infrastructure, and uptime is guaranteed by SLAs.
⚫︎ Support is prompt and familiar with cloud services

— What are the benefits of implementing HENNGE One, if any?

It was a big advantage for those of us involved in the operation of the system that the burden of installing and operating the service is light and does not require a lot of work even if the number of offices and users using the service increases. We used to store our archives on tape devices, but now we no longer need personnel to periodically change tapes or storage space for tapes, so we believe that this has also reduced management man-hours significantly.
