Mitsui Home is a housebuilder that plays a central role in the Mitsui Fudosan Group, and since its establishment in 1974 it has been involved in the creation of more than 250,000 homes, including custom-made houses that give shape to each customer’s lifestyle, leasing, land utilization, construction of clinics and facilities, and renovation.

— Please tell us about the use of HENNGE One at Mitsui Home.
We introduced HENNGE One in 2014 as a countermeasure against erroneous transmissions and information leaks. Currently, we use HENNGE Secure Transfer for sending and receiving large files, HENNGE Secure Download as a countermeasure against PPAP, and HENNGE E-Mail Archive and HENNGE E-Mail DLP as measures against misdirection and information leaks. The Mitsui Home Group has subscribed to a total of more than 7,200 licenses.
— Please tell us how you introduced each of these functions.
We have been using HENNGE E-Mail Archive since the initial implementation of HENNGE One. When we switched our email environment from on-premise to cloud services (former G Suite, now Google Workspace), we needed to implement existing functions such as archiving, etc. We implemented HENNGE One because of its smooth email audit and trail investigation, and its extensive search functions. HENNGE Secure Transfer is used to send and receive large files such as videos that are difficult to exchange by email, and HENNGE Secure Download was introduced as a countermeasure against PPPAP.
— Please tell us about the benefits of HENNGE One.
HENNGE One enables us to achieve email security that is difficult or insufficient with the standard functions of Google Workspace (Gmail), which we use, without placing a heavy operational burden on us. In addition, since functions are enhanced and added in accordance with social conditions and security trends, you can feel confident that your email security is safe as long as you use HENNGE One.
In fact, when there is a news report of an e-mail-related accident, we receive inquiries from related departments and executives asking if our e-mails are safe. We also have a security audit every year, and thanks to HENNGE One, we have cleared it without any problems.
— Please tell us about your anti-PPAP measures.
We used to use a method of sending e-mail (PPAP) in which a ZIP file with a password is sent as an attachment to an e-mail when sending e-mail to outside parties, and the password is sent afterwards through the same route. Since the security and convenience of this method was questioned and there were moves to stop ZIP encrypted files even in government agencies, we decided to use HENNGE Secure Download as a way to get rid of PPAP.
HENNGE Secure Download is a system that automatically detaches and uploads attached files when sending an e-mail, and sends a PDF containing the original e-mail body and a URL for downloading the file to the recipient. The recipient authenticates his/her e-mail address from the URL in the PDF, and can download the file after entering the authentication code. We believe that we have been able to implement measures against PPPAP without the sender having to be aware of it or having to change the usability of the system.
— Have you ever considered introducing other services for e-mail security?
We may investigate other services, but we have not felt the need to switch to HENNGE One because of its excellent usability, no complaints from users, and stable service continuity and quality. In addition, we can continue to use the service with peace of mind because of the generous post-implementation support and follow-up, including updates of advanced functions that respond to the latest trends, constant proposals that are optimal for our company, and regular reports that analyze usage conditions.
— What are your expectations or requests for HENNGE?
We think it is difficult to have a continuous relationship with a vendor who says, “Just use it on your own after installation,” no matter how excellent their functions and services are. We have a lot of trust in HENNGE as a vendor with whom we can have a long-lasting relationship. We expect HENNGE to continue to provide us with advanced and stable services, and the same extensive support as in the past.
